This is a matte finishing powder that goes on translucent! It can be worn by any skintone or type! It contains clay, so helps to absorb excess oil and moisture, while giving a matte appearance! You can use this all over as a finishing touch or just on oily zones/spots. Try using this as a PRIMER powder for your foundation! This will help to keep oil at bay so your foundation will have a base to adhere to. Although this is not necessary, some people enjoy this technique! So many options!
Mineral finishing powder can be confusing to some. Since mineral foundation itself IS a powder, is a separate finisher necessary and if so, what does it do?
Here's the basic info to help you out. If you like the texture, feel, finish and staying power of your mineral foundation, then technically you don't need a finishing powder. However... if you want a different finish (perhaps matte or shimmer or in between), or the ability to alter the staying power or your foundation, then a finisher is for you. Honestly, our finishers are consistently some of our top sellers. People just LOVE their finishing powders and simply will not go without them! Keep in mind that all our finishers are essentially translucent, and can be used by any skin tone.
How is this different from our Oil-Absorbing Stones? They basically do the same thing, but I suggest you get the Oil-Absorbing Stones if your main priority is to cut oil. Get the Silken Matte if your main priority is to have a matte appearance.
